We have six unique and self-sustaining Care Ministries:  These ministries all compliment each other and make use of each other’s abilities and resources.  See the tabs to this page for more detailed information about each of our CARE Ministries.

Care MinistriesMinimize
  • Stephen Ministry. Trained lay-ministers who provide one-to-one Christian Care giving.
  • Parish Visitors. Lay-ministers that specialize in a light touch of visiting those who are homebound.
  • Prayer Chain. A group of lay-ministers that receive prayer requests and diligently pray for those in need.
  • Bereavement Team. A Team of lay-ministers that provide support and ministry following funerals at Good Shepherd.
  • Hospitality Team. A team of lay-ministers that coordinates the use of our kitchens by many groups in our congregation, to keep them equipped and usable.
  • Food for Members. A Team of lay-ministers that coordinates with other congregation members to provide short-term daily meals for those who have become temporarily disabled or have been recently discharged from a hospital. This ministry is an extension of the Hospitality Team (see Hospitality Team page for more information about Food for Members).
