Additonal Faith Formation OpportunitiesMinimize

M.A.D. (Music, Art and Drama) for Jesus is the midweek youth program at Good Shepherd. This program offers a unique and hands-on faith-based learning opportunity for youth ages 3 through 6th grade on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Students follow a rotation schedule that includes art, music, games and story activities. Parents are invited to attend our adult faith-based learning opportunity that focuses on Christian parenting and marrriage enrichment.

An optional dinner is served for families at 5:30pm in our Fellowship Hall.

  

Sunday Faith Formation for YouthMinimize

Students learn about and experience faith in a variety of ways. At Good Shepherd, we encourage both students and their parents to attend both worship and Sunday School regularly.

Our Sunday School hour is offered for students ages 2 through High School during September - May at 9:30am.

Preschool and Kindergarten students are grouped together is age-like classes to learn of God's love for them through age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, crafts, and guided playtime.

1st Grade - 4th Grade students are grouped together by grade leve and experience God's love for them through our Rotation model. In our Rotation model, students move among several dfferent classrooms over the course of a month to learn about the same Bible story through a variety of workshops. These workshops include art, computers, drama, games and many others.

6th Grade students study the life and theology of Martin Luther.

7th & 8th Grade students study Bible stories from both the Old and New Testament as part of Good Shepherd's Confirmation Ministry.

Senior High (9th - 12th grade) students meet weekly with an adult leader to strengthen relationships and deepen their faith through discussion and small group activites around current issues related to teen life and the Bible. This class also functions as th weekly youth group meeting time for Senior High students at GSLC.
