Good Shepherd is a church home for many people. Attendance at our five different weekend services typically ranges from around 30 to more than 150 people. Good Shepherd can seem like a big place and at times you might wonder how to feel that you are really a part of what is happening.
We know that God created us to be in community and fellowship so Good Shepherd also has many different groups that offer participants an opportunity to learn, support, serve, or just to have fun. Being part of a group is a great way to meet people and feel that you really belong. Some groups are targeted to people by demographic, skills, spiritual gifts, or interests; many groups are open to any adult who would like to join. Do you have an idea and want to start your own group? There is plenty of material, resources, and support available.
Information about Good Shepherd’s groups can be found at www.goodshepherd.com, in the blue section of the new Good Shepherd Handbook, or by contacting Jodi Keith, Developer of Small Groups and Fellowship at 891-1700 x 26 or jkeith@goodshepherd.com or Pastor Jess at jabbott@goodshepherd.com. Watch future issues of the Shepherd’s Horn where a different group will be highlighted each time. We hope to see you in a Good Shepherd group soon!
