Good Shepherd Lutheran Church / Friday, October 23, 2020 / Categories: Publications, Daily Devotions Daily Devotion Our daily devotions will take a different approach from October 19-30 as we focus on Hunger in conjunction with our NEEDS food drive. Each day we will watch a short video from ELCA World Hunger. Today’s video introduces us to Senior Citizen Jim Freeman of Spartanburg, S.C. When we think of hunger we may not think about elderly people at first. The NEEDS food pantry in Kenwood offers help to people of all ages, including the elderly. Watch the video and reflect on the questions below: Video Link Have you ever considered how your presence in a person’s life might help relieve them of the crushing loneliness they face every day? Who in your life might benefit from your friendship and kindness the way Jim’s life is affected by the volunteers from the mobile meal program? Who might you pray with today?
