We often ask, “Why do bad things have to happen to good people?”
We will never fully understand that, but we can be encouraged by Jesus’
words in John 16:33, “In this world, you will have trials and tribulation,
but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.”

What about the young father who dies from injuries as a result of a
automobile accident?  Where is the good in that?  Nobody will ever have an exact
answer for that, but maybe it shows a merciful God who let the young father come home
to heaven instead of spending a miserable, painful life here on earth.

What about the mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer?  Where is the
good in that?  However, in a routine MRI, a malignant brain tumor was discovered
resulting in a surgery that saved her life and treatment that put the breast cancer in
remission.

We have to have faith that no matter what happens; God is always caring for
us!  It just might not be in the way we were expecting. In Isaiah 55:8-9, God said,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways”.
