Good Shepherd Lutheran Church / Tuesday, October 27, 2020 / Categories: Publications, Daily Devotions Daily Devotion Our devotions written by Good Shepherd members will resume next week, but this week our daily devotions will take a different approach as we focus on Hunger in conjunction with our NEEDS food drive. Each day we will watch a short video from ELCA World Hunger that will help us gain a better understanding of the extend of poverty in our world, and ways that the ELCA is trying to improve the lives of those trapped in poverty. Today’s video takes us to a very remote area in Northeast Arizona to the Navajo Lutheran Mission where 40-50% of the population does not have running water or electricity. This story is addressing the increase in need for these communities because of COVID-19. You can watch the video here, and then reflect on the questions below: Video Link What stirred in you when you watched this video? How is God’s love being revealed through the Navajo Lutheran Mission? As you sit in prayer today, ask God to reveal how you might share God’s love with someone who is facing extreme challenges in these days.
