What is a Bible Bowl? A Bible Bowl is a quick recall game where students compete over their knowledge of scripture.  Pre-selected books of the Bible will be shared with your Tween ahead of time to study and become familiar with. Tweens will then compete against one another to answer the most questions correctly as asked by the Quizmaster (aka Pastor Alex) about the pre-selected texts. The prize at stake is our coveted “Bible Bowl” Trophy.

GSLC Endowment Matching Fund Update

Supporting VEIL with the help of other local congregations

You may remember last year, right before the pandemic, the Good Shepherd Endowment Fund Board challenged the Cincinnati area ELCA churches to collect donations for Vida Eterna-Iglesia Luterana (VEIL), an ELCA Latino congregation that meets in West Chester.  The fun part of the challenge was that the Endowment Fund would match gifts given during the seasons of Lent and Easter.   Well, then the pandemic hit and so many things were put on hold.  However, even in the midst of all the challenges our sister congregations gifted VEIL with $18,052 last year, which we now plan to match through the Endowment Fund.
