St Cuthbert's Way Pilgrimage

This June, 19 members of Good Shepherd will be walking St. Cuthbert’s Way in southern Scotland and northern England.  Kristin Kalsem and Pastor Pat are serving as the leaders of this pilgrimage.  St. Cuthbert, monk and bishop of Lindisfarne was a man of extraordinary charm and ability.  He was called the Fire of the North because he was known as a great preacher, teacher and pastor.  He was known to be caring and compassionate and helped spread the faith throughout northern England.  St. Cuthbert was born in 634 lived his life in various places in northern England.  His remains now rest in the Cathedral in Durham.  The Way of St. Cuthbert, is a path that has been walked by pilgrims throughout the centuries and ends on the Holy Island, Lindisfarne.

The St. Cuthbert’s Way Pilgrims ask that you keep them in your prayers June 12-22, 2022.  They ask for prayers so they are kept safe as they walk, and the walk is transformative to their faith in God.  The St. Cuthbert’s Way pilgrims look forward to sharing their pilgrimage experiences with the congregation in late August.
