April 23rd: Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42 and Good Shepherd member Doug McConnell’s Songs of Celebration featuring the combined choirs of Good Shepherd and a professional orchestra.

Our end of the year concert will feature the combined choirs of Good Shepherd and a professional orchestra, conducted by Dr. Kevin Seal, performing one of Mendelssohn’s most beloved choral/orchestral works, his setting of Psalm 42.  The first half of the program will consist of a work by Good Shepherd member and composer Doug McConnell, Songs of Celebration.  Doug has been busily re-orchestrating this three movement cycle, first written for a church in Connecticut, and we are thrilled to share the world premiere performance of his re-write!
