Peter McCutcheon on Double Bass

Peter McCutcheon on Double Bass

Event date: 1/29/2023 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Export event

Peter McCutcheon, GSLC member, will be performing a recital of modern unaccompanied double bass works next month. This performance will be a powerful intersection between musical idioms of the past 75 years and the unique solo qualities of the double bass. Featuring works by Hans Fryba, Luciano Berio, François Rabbath, Lera Auerbach, and Nicholas Walker, this program is a rare opportunity to hear and put a spotlight on one of the lowest and largest orchestral instruments! This recital is in partial fulfillment of Peter’s Masters in Music degree from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.
