Caring for All Members

Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. — Philippians 2:4

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church's care ministry, known as Caring for All Members (CFAM), provides support and care for the members and associates of our congregation.  A team of dedicated volunteers offer their time and talents to ensure that all members of GSLC are cared for in their time of need.

Below, you will find information about each of the distinct care ministries here at GSLC.  If you would like to speak with someone regarding a need you may have or information for how you can volunteer, contact Pastor Pat Badkey at pbadkey@goodshepherd.com.

Stephen Ministers

A Stephen Ministers is:

  • A child of God who walks along side a person who is hurting,
  • A caring Christian friend who takes time to listen,
  • A lay person who has recieved 50+ hours of training on providing Christian care, and
  • A dedicated Christian commissioned by Good Shepherd to provide strictly confidential in-depth caring.

If you are in need of a caring, listening ear due illness, death of a loved one, job loss, spiritual crisis, or any other concern, Stephen Ministers can help you.  To speak with a Stephen Minister, contact Pastor Pat at (513) 891-1700 or pbadkey@goodshepherd.com.  You'll be connected with a same-gender Stephen Minister, who will set-up weekly sessions that last about an hour.  There's no reason to go through the hard times alone!

If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, contact Pastor Pat for more information.  She welcomes the opportunity to speak with you.
