Caring for All Members

Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. — Philippians 2:4

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church's care ministry, known as Caring for All Members (CFAM), provides support and care for the members and associates of our congregation.  A team of dedicated volunteers offer their time and talents to ensure that all members of GSLC are cared for in their time of need.

Below, you will find information about each of the distinct care ministries here at GSLC.  If you would like to speak with someone regarding a need you may have or information for how you can volunteer, contact Pastor Pat Badkey at pbadkey@goodshepherd.com.

Shepherd's Pantry

The Shepherd's Pantry provides help in the form of food (grocery items) for members and long-term associates who may be going through a particularly rough time financially.  The pantry is located in the “old kitchen” next to Room 100.  It's open from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.. Those in need may fill one grocery bag per household per week with any of the items available on the Pantry shelves.  Those wishing to maintain privacy can do so by parking by the “old kitchen” exterior door on the west side of the church, entering through the front door, proceeding to the “old kitchen” to access the Pantry, and then exiting through the exterior door to their car.

If you need special items, such as baby food, or special dietary items such as gluten free food, please send a note to Pastor Pat.

Want to help?
You, too, can be a part of this ministry by donating food items to the Pantry regularly.  In fact, your donations are critical.  Just make sure the items you donate have at least 3-4 months of freshness available before their "best used by" date.  Pantry needs are listed in "Our Life Together" or "The Shepherd's Horn" from time to time.  For more immediately information on what the pantry may need, contact Koben Hinman at (513) 459-8540.

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and truth. - 1 John 3:17-18
