“Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray.” — Proverbs 22:6

The road to discipleship starts at home for many of us.  Good Shepherd is committed to providing spirtual practices and faith formation resources to help children and famlies discern God's presence in their daily lives.  It is through a vareity of worship options, faith formation and fellowship events, and service opportunities that families build community and friendships and learn to share the light of God with the world.

Family Worship

Good Shepherd is looking to revamp the Family Worship service and how we provide a worship service geared to the smaller Lutherans in our lives.  We feel the best way to do this is to take a break from providing Family Worship during the holiday season and see where the Holy Spirit is leading our congregation after the first of the year.

In the meantime, our last Family Worship service will be on November 21st where they’ll celebrate the end of the church year with party hats and sparkling grape juice!  After that, families are encouraged to attend worship on Saturdays at 5 pm or Sundays at 9 or 11 am.  Small bags filled with quiet toys are available at the entrance to the sanctuary for kids to play with during service.

Additionally, the nursery will be open on Sundays in December for families to use.  Good Shepherd also has a "Cry Room" available during all of our worship services to let little ones roam and play, while parents and caretakers can still connect with worship while it's happening.  The Cry Room is located just outside the sanctuary.
