Music

Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise.  The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through Music. — Martin Luther

Good Shepherd knows how integral music is to our lives.  It prepares our hearts and minds for worship.  It recalls memories of weddings or funerals.  It lifts us up.  It helps us take on the day ahead.  Ultimately, it brings us into closer relationship with God.

Good Shepherd is blessed to have a wide range of musicians that are willing to share their talents with our community and help us provide a vareity of styles of worship.  From traditional hymns and organ to the latest Christian-pop with guitars and drums, Good Shepherd has a style of worship and music that will speak to you and your faith.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir returned to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in December 2021 under the direction of Dr Kevin Seal.

Watch the performances of the GSLC Children's Choir at the Family Christmas Eve Worship Service (2021) and on Palm Sunday (2022).

The goals of the Children's Choir are to provide a space for kids to lift their voices up in praise of God and to learn about music in a fun and engaging environment.

The Children's Choir assembles several times per year in preparation for performances.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings for 3-4 weeks in advance of performances and last about 30-45 minutes.  During rehearsals, GSLC provides activities or small groups for parents and non-singing siblings to take part in while they wait for rehearsals to conclude.

Good Shepherd is hoping to expand the Children's Choir for the 2022-2023 school year!  If you or our child(ren) are interested in serving or singing in the Children's Choir, please contact Dr Kevin Seal (kseal@goodshepherd.com) for more information on how you can get involved!
