“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your

good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Good Shepherd is blessed to have a community that is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with their neighbor through our active Outreach Ministry.  By earmarking 25% of our annual budget to Outreach, Good Shepherd is able to support a vareity of non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Haitian Timoun Foundation, Graceworks Lutheran Services, and Adopt A Class.  In addition to providing financial support, members serve at organizations such as Matthew 25 Ministries, Tikkun Farm, and Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank to provide the labor necessary to further their missions.  It is through the generous support of our congregation that Good Shepherd is able to touch the lives of so many.

Congregational Christmas Card - 2021

Author: Scott Puthoff/Wednesday, October 6, 2021/Categories: News, Children and Family News, Adult News, Outreach News

We will be gathering your signatures for our December Horn Christmas Card during the first three weeks of November.  This year the donations will support our Scholastic book program for our Taft Elementary students.   Each $30 raised will provide 6 different brand new books for a student to keep as their very own!  Maybe you have fond memories of getting to choose from the list of Scholastic books from the flyer you received in elementary school?    Some of our Taft students don’t have any books at home.  By supporting their participation in Scholastic books we are helping them to establish their own library at home!

Please note, that we will also be gathering donations for the Christmas Gift program this year, as we have done in the past, so there will be plenty of opportunity to share your generosity this Christmas.
