In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. — Matthew 5:16

Good Shepherd is blessed to have a community that is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with their neighbor through our active Outreach Ministry.  By earmarking 25% of our annual budget to Outreach, Good Shepherd is able to support a vareity of non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Haitian Timoun Foundation, Graceworks Lutheran Services, and Adopt A Class.  In addition to providing financial support, members serve at organizations such as Matthew 25 Ministries, Tikkun Farm, and Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank to provide the labor necessary to further their missions.  It is through the generous support of our congregation that Good Shepherd is able to touch the lives of so many.

Graceworks - March 2023

At Adult Connect on February 5th Sandra Combs provided an overview of Graceworks and shared stories that illuminated how the organization expresses its mission of Faithful Caring (you can rewatch the presentation on YouTube at youtube.com/watch?v=Ed_H-QwGEG0).   The stories also illustrated Good Shepherd’s various supports to Graceworks residents and Sandra shared ideas to continue building relationships with them.

Do you have sewing skills (or an interest to learn sewing)?

GSLC’s Graceworks Team wants to make 75 clothing protectors for residents with disabilities that live in Graceworks’ Enhanced Living homes so you are needed!  Please contact Mary Adams or Tina Morawski if you would like to help (adamsmarydmjk@gmail.com, 513.767.8029 or tinamorawski7@gmail.com).

Don’t sew, don’t want to?  You can also support the clothing protector project by donating gently used men‘s flannel or heavy cloth, dark button-down shirts to Good Shepherd March 11 Spring Rummage Sale.  The shirts will be used to make 25 of the 75 clothing protectors.
