Youth Groups

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12

Good Shepherd strives to provide a wide variety of opportunities for youth to engage and practice their faith.  From the prayer workshops for toddlers to senior high students serving folks in Appalachia, youth of all ages can find a way to practice discipleship at Good Shepherd!

Serve at Kids Connect

What mentors did you have growing up?  Camp counselors, teachers, coaches, and church members might be just a few of the folks that you recall having played both big and small parts in your life.

You can continue that tradition of shaping and supporting the lives of youth by serving on Sundays at 10:10 am at Kids Connect.  You’ll help tell stories, shepherd kids, or lead games, crafts, and songs.

The congregation identified children and reaching out to families as a top priority during our most recent survey.

Serving at Kids Connect is a great way to put those feelings into action!  You can volunteer each week, once a month, or on a case-by-case basis.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer 3-4 times per year.

Contact Jen Jarman at ( to let her know how you can support Kids Connect and be a part of forming the next generation of Christians
