Youth Groups

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for

the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” — Matthew 4:12

Good Shepherd strives to provide a wide variety of opportunities for youth to engage and practice their faith.  From the prayer workshops for toddlers to senior high students serving folks in Appalachia, youth of all ages can find a way to practice discipleship at Good Shepherd!

Tweens

While every stage of life has its struggles, youth in their preteen years struggle with being in a constant state of limbo - not quite children anymore, but not quite teenagers.  It's a time where youth can feel lost.  That's where GSLC's Tweens Group steps in to provide some much needed grounding as well as age-appropriate faith formation and service opportunities to help shepherd these youth into their Confirmation years.

With fun activities ranging from overnight retreats at the Cincinnati Zoo, movie nights, "The Bible Bowl" (a Bible trivia contest) to collecting canned goods for the annual "Souper Bowl of Caring", Tweens have the opportunity to build friendships with other students while building their faith.
