Pastors

While serving in Iraq, the Gospel captured Lorne’s heart, which set him on a path of service to God.

Pastor Lorne graduated from The Ohio State University (B.A. in Political Science), Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Master of Divinity), and Emory University, where he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree focused on church leadership and community witness.

Before leading the ministry at Good Shepherd, Pastor Lorne served as the Associate and later Executive Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Loveland, OH, from 2013 to 2023.

In addition to guiding Good Shepherd as our Senior Pastor, Lorne is the Chair of The Haitian Timoun Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating generational change for the most marginalized people in the Western Hemisphere.

Pastor Lorne and his wife, Becca, have three children and love calling Cincinnati home.

Ministry Directors

Dr. Kevin Seal began serving as Good Shepherd’s Director of Worship & Music in September 2021. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and began his faith & musical journeys as a boy singing in church choirs. He began organ lessons in high school and has pursued his passion for music ever since. While Kevin loves all forms of music, he’s most passionate about using music as a means for spiritual transformation and personal growth.

Kevin received his undergraduate in Church Music from St. Olaf College, where he met his wife, Elizabeth. He received his Masters in Organ Performance from the University of Minnesota and his Doctorate in Choral Conducting from the University of Arizona.

When he’s not making music or planning liturgies, he can be found mountain biking, star-gazing, traveling with his wife & two dogs, or cooking something delicious.

Jen is a Cincinnati native – lifelong Bengals fan, Graeter’s ice-cream lover, and regular consumer of Skyline Chili.

After completing her undergrad in Political Science and International Relations at Canisius College, an Americorps term of service with Public Allies – Cincinnati brought Jen back to her Cincy roots and her high-school sweetheart.

Jen has had the honor of serving youth and families at Good Shepherd since 2008, when she accepted the invitation to serve in ministry full-time.

While Jen dreams of visiting Utah, serving in Haiti, and learning how to play her guitar sometime in the next 10 years, you can most likely find her enjoying a local brewery after a hike with her husband, Scott (also the Director of Online Ministry at Good Shepherd) and their three kids.

Jen Jarman | Director of Mission & Ministry

Scott graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Biology. He originally planned to work in state & national parks, protecting & restoring wild areas, but God had other plans. After serving with a local Health Department for 14 years, he felt called to make a change and accepted a full-time position with Good Shepherd serving in digital ministry.

Scott still finds time to live out his passion for protecting wild places through his work with Friends of French Park, a local organization dedicated to removing invasive plants and restoring French Park.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring parks with his three kids and wife, Jen (the Director of Faith Formation at Good Shepherd).

Scott Puthoff | Director of Digital Ministry & Communication

Ken joined the Good Shepherd team as Director of Contemporary Worship & Music in 2000 after coming to Cincinnati from Canfield (OH) to study at CCM for undergrad. He met his wife Amber (also the Children’s Ministry Coordinator) through the Good Shepherd Coed Softball team in 2006. They were married in 2008 and have four kiddos.

Ken teaches at Sycamore High School as the director of choral activities. He earned a Master of Music Education in Choral Conducting from Florida State University, and a Master of School Leadership and Administration from Miami (OH) University.

When not making music, Ken enjoys reading, eating ice cream, working on a Sudoku, trying his hand at medium-difficulty automotive repair, chipping away at the "Honey Do" list, and travelling.
