This month’s film: Depatures (2008)

Daigo Kobayashi, a young classical cellist, loses his job when the orchestra he plays for is disbanded. He returns to his family home in Japan, looking for any kind of work to support himself and his wife. Daigo comes upon an ad for a firm that is looking for an assistant. When he reads the word "departures," he assumes that he will be working for a travel agency. Alas, the departures that this firm specializes in involve a much more cosmic journey.
