Expand your appreciation of film through great discussion!
This year’s theme is “Truth, Beauty, & the Meaning of Life: A film series devoted to people who are searching…”.
This month’s film: Educating Rita (1983)
Young Susan (Rita) White is a hairdresser with tremendous ambition. She wants to go to college, to “better herself” and find a “new song to sing.” She enrolls in the local college’s community education program and is assigned a tutor, a has-been poet/professor named Frank Bryant. Can this drunken sod help Susan along on her path to gain knowledge and truth? With Julie Walters and Michael Caine, in one of his most favorite roles.
